Vita Flex Technique Combines with Essential Oils for a Synergistic Effect

Vita Flex technique is a powerful ancient Tibetan healing methodology brought to the US in the 1920s by Stanley Burroughs. It is a very effective method used alone or with other healing modalities.
It has a synergistic effect when combined with essential oils as in the Raindrop Technique. And it can be used to stimulate all the body systems on a physical and emotional level.
What is Vita Flex?
Vita Flex technique was developed by the Tibetans thousands of years before acupuncture. Its literally meaning is“vitality through the reflexes”.
Its theory is fascinating. And the premise is that slight pressure applied to the body creates an electric charge that is therapeutic to the body. This is known as piezoelectric.
The pressure comes from the fingers. A rolling motion of the finger pads, tips and nails, creates the stimulation similar to how an electric switch or circuit works. The technique is applied to the various reflex points of the body.
To see the various points on the feet, look at the Vita Flex Feet Chart. You can also print this for reference.
How does Vita Flex Work?
When done correctly, the electrical energy that is produced during the technique transfers to the nerve pathways. Once the energy finds a gap in the circuit, it repairs the break in the pathway that is creating the imbalance in the body.
An analogy is offered here for my readers. If there is a short in the wire along an electrical circuit that is controlling a light, the light would not function. When the short is repaired, the circuit would “reset” and the function would be restored!
What Does this Have to Do with Essential Oils?
We know that essential oils also contain electromagnetic properties. Therefore, using essential oils with vita flex enhances the process that much more and drives the oils into the corresponding reflex points. That is why it is combined with the Raindrop Technique as well.
We can choose oils specifically for the challenge we are experiencing. We will talk about this more in the sections that follow.
What are the Benefits of Vita Flex Technique?
There are numerous benefits of the Vita Flex Technique. Here are just a few:
• Bring back balance to the nerve pathways in a non-invasive manner.
• Re-align the spine in a non-manipulative manner (see hip/atlas vitaflex)
• Work on challenges in our body that are not easily accessible or not accessible at all!
• Reduce stress and tension in the body. Including tension headaches.
• Improve hearing in a natural way. Use as a natural ear ache remedy.
• Help detox the lymphatic system.
• And many more!
How is Vita Flex Technique applied to Different Body Systems?
These are several different ways to apply vitaflex technique besides the application in Raindrop Technique which primarily involves the feet. They are listed below.
• Clearing the Colon
• Respiratory System (lungs and bronchial tubes)
• Clearing Sinuses
• Head and Brain (releases tension and headaches)
• Heart Pump
• Ear Technique (inner and auditory nerves)
• Lymphatic System
• Hip/Atlas Vita flex
There is a brief description of each maneuver below, and the oils you can use as well.
How is Vita Flex used to Clear the Colon?
Vita flex is applied along the shins and the spinal points of the feet first. Then we apply vitaflex to the soles of the feet.
Oils that may be used to assist with clearing the colon are:

Cypress Essential Oil Blend

Marjoram Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil

Wintergreen Essential Oil

Patchouli Essential Oil
Di-Gize Essential Oil
How is Vita Flex used to Support the Respiratory System?

Vita flex is applied along the lung reflex area on the feet. Then we use vita flex between the bones and ligaments of the feet.
Oils that may be used to assist us with the lungs and the bronchial tubes are:
Thyme Essential Oil

Oregano Essential Oil

Cinnamon Essential Oil

Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Thieves Essential Oil

Ravensara Essential Oil

RC Essential Oil
ImmuPower Essential Oil
Oregano, Thyme and Cinnamon will work best if there is a viral infection. For congestion I would use RC, Ravensara, eucalyptus or hyssop essential oils. If there is a lung infection, Thieves and ImmuPower will help.

How is Vita Flex used to Support the Sinuses?
Vita flex is applied on the sinus reflex area on the toes. Also, you may use the sinus points on the face.
Any oils that are for respiratory congestion may be used. Here are a few suggestions:
RC Essential Oil
Ravensara Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
How is Vita Flex used for the Head and the Brain?
Vita flex is applied on the head and brain reflex area on the toes. Also, there is a procedure that you perform on the head that feels wonderful! Many people have had great success with this for releasing stress and tension headaches!
Any oils the client would like to hold while working on the head is fine. Oils may also be applied to the head.
Here are a few suggestions:
Sandalwood Essential Oil
Cedarwood Essential Oil
Peace & Calming Essential Oil
Brain Power Essential Oil
How is Vita Flex used for the Heart and to Lower Blood Pressure?
These procedures are hard to explain in writing. However, vita flex is applied to the left arm and hand on the heart point back and forth in rhythm. The second procedure is just applying vita flex to the heart reflex point below ring toe on the left foot. Aroma Life is the oil of choice here.
Any oils the client would like to hold while working on the head is fine. Oils may also be applied to the head.
Here are a few suggestions:

Cypress Essential Oil

Aroma Life Essential Oil

Trauma Life Essential Oil
How is Vita Flex used for the Lymphatic System?
There are three different procedures that can be used here.
• Lymphatic Pump – This simulates the action of the foot as if one were walking. Oils are not normally used during this technique, but it is very effective following the colon clearing technique of the shin reflex points.
• Thumb Vita flex – This is also known as thumb rolling where the maneuver is applied to either side of the spine.
• Saw Maneuver or Finger Straddle – saw maneuver where the fingers slide up the spine in a sawing fashion.
The saw and thumb vita flex maneuvers are used during the Raindrop Technique.
Suggested oils are listed below:
• Cypress Essential Oil

• Wintergreen Essential Oil
How is Vita Flex Technique used for Hip and Atlas?
This is an interesting procedure where thumb vita flex is applied to the hip/atlas point at the collar bone. If done correctly, the hips to the atlas canre-align themselves naturally.
I had this done to me at the vita flex class I attended. I asked to be the guinea pig, because I knew my hip was out of alignment. My leg length was measured before and after, and sure enough, my legs were even after one thumb vita flex maneuver! Love it!
This can be done with or without the oils. I like to use Valor essential oil on the reflex point before I start. If a client has muscle soreness after the session then here are a few suggestions:

Are there any Side Effects?
Because some of the Vita Flex maneuvers can encourage detoxification of the body, someone may experience some mild side effects. These mild symptoms may include headache, sinus drainage, or soreness. The best advice is to drink plenty of water before and after a session.
Do I need to be Certified to do Vita Flex Technique?
No you don’t. But if you are interested in learning I do suggest that you take a class so you can actually see the techniques being done! Plus it is a fun class to participate in!
Did you know that essential oils can be used for sleep, pain, or as a natural anti-inflammatory or natural muscle relaxer? Yes, they can. While you are here, please check out those sections also!
